Picnic Beans Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound grnd beef 1 med. minced onion 1 pound bacon 2 (15 ounce.) cans kidney beans 2 (15 ounce.) cans pork and beans 2 (15 ounce.) cans butter beans

2 c. ketchup 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 2 tbsp. mustard 2 tbsp. vinegar 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr

Directions

1. Fry bacon till crisp and remove from skillet; crumble. Brown grnd beef with minced onion. Combine meats with beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, pepper, and garlic pwdr. Mix well and pour into casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1 1/4 hrs. (Use 5 qt casserole). (For half batch, reduce all ingredients by one-half). Serves 10-12.
