Peppers Stuffed With Macaroni And Ham

Ingredients

  • 6 lg. green peppers
  • 2 1/2 c. cooked macaroni
  • 1 1/2 c. minced ham
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 c. grated American or possibly mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 c. water

Directions

  1. Cut peppers in half and remove stems and seeds. Boil 10 min in salted water. Drain and place in large, flat baking dish. Combine macaroni, ham and crumbs. Add in half the cheese and half the tomato-water mix. Stir well and spoon into pepper halves. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and drizzle on the remaining tomato sauce and water mix. Cover loosely with foil and bake 30 min, remove foil and bake 30 min longer.
