  1. Toss the apple slices with 1/4 c. sugar and the cinnimon ; set aside. Mix together the flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, Large eggs, oil and vanilla, orange juice.
  2. baking soda and baking pwdr. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed.
  3. (The batter will be very thick). Spread a 3rd. of the batter in a greased 10 inch tube or possibly bundt pan, top with half the apple mix. Repeat layers ending with batter.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Remove pan to wire rack; cold for about 10 min. remove cake from pan. Cold completely and drizzle the top with confectioner's sugar glaze.)) (Beat together 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, 2 Tbsp. softened butter, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and 1 to 2 Tbsp. water till smooth)
