I encourage the author of this recipe to edit it. After scanning the ingredients, it sounded wonderful and I got the idea, but when I started walking through the instructions, it was confusing to me, so I improvised. I'm glad I worked through it - it's wonderful!! Here's what I did

Combine cream cheese and sour cream. In another bowl, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar, almond and vanilla extracts until just before stiff peaks form. Add to cream cheese mixture and blend. Mixture will be thick. Stir in most of cake pieces, reserve enough to cover bottom of bowl. In another bowl, combine fruit with the sugar and amaretto. Layer in deep bowl as follows: cake pieces/fruit mixture/cream mixture. Repeat fruit mixture/cream mixture. Garnish with unsoaked fruit. I reserved cake pieces to layer on bottom of bowl for absorbing the juice from the fruit mixture so it wouldn't be soggy.

    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
