Directions

  1. Heat oil in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in onion and garlic; saute/fry till soft and golden brown, about 5 min. Stir in tomatoes and wine. Simmer 10 min. Add in meatballs and basil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, till meatballs are heated through and sauce is slightly reduced, about 15 min.
  2. Meanwhile, cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water till just tender but still hard to bite. Drain; return to pot. Add in meatballs with sauce and 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to bowl; sprinkle with 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
