  1. Slowly, with your hands, mix the sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla.
  2. Roll into small balls after thoroughly mixed. Place balls on wax paper and put a toothpick in each. Chill till chocolate is ready. In double boiler (or possibly microwave), heat chocolate chips and shortening together. Dip balls in chocolate mix and let as much chocolate as possible drip off. Place on waxed paper, remove toothpicks and refrigeratein freezer till hard. Store in refrigerator.
