Oatmeal Scotchies Or Pan Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 stk butter, softened
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla. Or possibly
  • 1 x orange, grated peel of
  • 3 c. quick or possibly old-fashioned oats, uncooked
  • 2 c. butterscotch flavored morsels

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon: set aside.
  2. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, Large eggs and vanilla or possibly orange peel till creamy. Gradually beat in flour mix. Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels. Drop by Tbsp. on ungreased cookie sheet or possibly spread dough in a 15 1/2x10 1/2x1-inch baking pain.
  3. Bake cookies 7 to 8 min for chewier cookies; 9-10 min for crisper cookies. Bake in pan 18-22 min if spread in Pyrex. Cut into 32
  4. (2-inch) squares.
