Ingredients

  • 32 lrg marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 lb crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 pt XX cream
  • 1 c. sweet pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 c. minced dates
  • 2 lb shredded orange peel
  • 2 c. pecans (or possibly other nuts), minced
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. currants
  • 1/4 c. minced figs
  • 1/2 c. each candied pineapple (red, green and white)
  • 3/4 c. candied cherries
  • 1/4 c. minced citron

Directions

  1. Cut up marshmallows, add in XX (heavy)cream and pickle juices. They will heat together. Crush graham crackers. Mix all ingredients together. Cut some paper sacks to fit your cake pans, then put the above mixed ingredients into pans. Let set for a while, inside the sacks ( & in the refrigerator), at least 24 hrs.
