Napa Turkey Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean grnd turkey
  • 1/4 x to 1/3 c. red wine
  • 1/8 x to 1/4 c. lightly packed minced basil
  • 1/4 x to 1/3 c. finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs mixed with 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 8 x sun-dry tomatoes, minced fine, then covered in extra virgin olive oil just to cover
  • 2 x crushed garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  •     Freshly grnd pepper
  •     Barbecue sauce
  • 6 x wheat buns

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients except barbecue sauce and buns. Divide into 6 equally sized portions, then shape into patties.
  2. Brush the rack of a medium-warm grill with a light coating of vegetable oil and place patties on grill. Cook completely through, about 5 to 8 min on each side, turning once, lightly brushing with barbecue sauce. Add in cooked patty to bun and dress with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and thinly sliced red onion.
