  • Aatu kaal / Mutton legs - 4 (Chopped into long pieces equal to the length of a finger)
  • Tomato - 1/2 of a tomato
  • Big onion - 1 onion for tempering + 1/2 of an onion for making paste
  • Coconut - Pieces from 3/4th of a coconut
  • Brinjal / Egg plants - 2
  • Drumsticks - 2
  • Curry leaves - Few
  • Ginger - 2 inch long piece
  • Garlic - 2 pods
  • Red chilli powder - 2 spoons
  • Coriander powder - 3 spoons
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 spoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Fennel seeds - 1 spoon + 1/2 spoon
  • Star anise (Annachipoo) - 1
  • Oil - 10 spoons
  • 3. Ginger - 2 inch long piece
