Mother's Old Fashioned Buttermilk Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. butter 2 c. flour 1 c. minced nuts

1 beaten egg 1 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Combine sugar, butter, flour, and nuts. Measure one c. and set aside for topping. Add in the beaten egg, lowfat milk, soda, and vanilla. Place batter in a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with the reserved topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
