Mother's Hot Dish (Old Family Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
  • 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. noodles
  • 1 pound round cheese (Longhorn)
  • 2 cans tomato puree
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Dice green pepper and cook with hamburger till brown and in crumbly pcs, set aside. Cook noodles according to directions; dice cheese into 1/2 inch pcs. Using a casserole dish; (I spray with Pam) make a layer of noodles and a layer of meat and cheese. Another layer of each and end with meat mix at top.
  2. Place cheese pcs on top and pour the puree over the entire mix. Use a sharp knife inserted to let puree run through the casserole. Bake 30 min to one hour.
