Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. raisins
1 c. shortening
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Boil all above ingredients for 10 min. Cold. Add in 2 Large eggs (beaten). 2 c. flour 2 c. oatmeal 1/2 c. nuts 1 teaspoon soda, mixed in flour
Drop on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 min in 350 degree oven or possibly till lightly browned.
