Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour (I use unbleached)
  • 3 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk (no water)
  • 3 Tbsp. oil

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking pwdr & salt together then add in buttermilk and oil.
  2. mix as little as possible then roll into biscuits. Put in well oiled iron skillet (I think mine is 10 in.) When you get all in skillet add in a pat of butter on top of each . I set my oven on 400 degrees at 30 min then I make the biscuits and put in oven. When the 30 min is up the biscuits are done. Mine is electric, if you have gas you might have to adjust. Makes 7 or possibly 8 biscuits
