Berries are one of the healthiest foods you can eat. Why not add a little berry juice shrub to your life? We guarantee that it’ll be tasty.
Incorporating berries in different jams, preservatives, and baked goodies is common. But how about in cocktail mixes? Berries are one of our top favorites when it comes to wine cocktails. They tend to balance the flavor between tanginess, sweet, and sour flavor notes.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of berries
- 3 cups of sugar
- 2 cups of a nice white wine vinegar
Directions
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the berry flavor into liquid. Once cooked, chill the shrub.
- Mix two cups of shrub mix with a bottle of champagne
- You will have some shrub mix left over to use later
