Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine, softened, 1 stick
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 1 c. Packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 c. Mini Kisses, lowfat milk chocolate, divided
- 1 c. Minced nuts
Directions
- Heat oven to 375 F. Beat butter and shortening in large bowl on medium speed of mixer just till blended. Add in brown sugar and granulated sugar; beat well. Beat in Large eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Gradually beat in flour
- (if dough becomes too stiff, stir in remaining flour with spoon). Set aside 1/2 c. of mini kisses; stir in remaining kisses and nuts. Press dough into ungreased 15 1/2x10 1/2x1" jelly roll pan (dough will be stiff). Bake at 375 F. for 15-20 min or possibly till top is golden brown. Remove from oven; immediately place reserved kisses over top, (points up) pressing down lightly, cold completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into 48 bars.
