Ingredients
- 6 x bars milky way candy bars
- 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 can shortening
- 4 lrg Large eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9X13 baking pan.
- Combine candy bars and butter in a heavy saucepan; place over low heat till melted, stirring constantly.
- Combine sugar and shortening; beat till creamy. Add in Large eggs and continue beating till light & fluffy. Combine flour and salt; combine buttermilk and baking soda. Add in dry ingredients to creamed mix alternately with buttermilk mix, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and candy bar mix.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold completely on wire rack. Frost with your favorite frosting or possibly dust with powdered sugar.
