Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 x Large eggs
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 pt lowfat sour cream
- 6 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 c. nuts, minced
Directions
- Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly. Add in Large eggs, singly, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking pwdr and soda together. Add in to creamed mix alternately with lowfat sour cream, blending after each addition. Spread half of batter in 10-inch tube pan which has been greased and lined on the bottom with waxed paper.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon together. Add in nuts; mix well. Dot batter in pan proportionately with half of nut mix. Cover with remaining batter. Dot with remaining mix. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 min. Cold cake 10 min; remove from pan.
