Mashed Cauliflower Recipe
by Julie Evink

Ok, I have a confession to make. WAY back in January KitchenAid sent me a 13-Cup Food Processor to review. It’s taken me this long to actually follow through. Terrible. A few things, like renovating a house may have came up in the meantime. Now, after using it, I wonder why on earth I didn’t rip that thing out of the box at the first moment possible!

My mom may have told me that I didn’t need a food processor. I listened, like any good daughter would, then had envy over them every time I saw one. Now after using this beauty I know I had great reason for that envy.

First of all this thing is beautiful. I have it in the brushed chrome. I love it. And it’s going to compliment my appliances so well in the new house. It’s all about looks peeps. Well that and functionality and this things delivers.

It comes with so many blades, a mini work bowl, storage case. It slices, shreds, chops, kneads and puree’s. What more do you need? Not much if anything else I’m telling you.

I first tried it out on Mashed Cauliflower. I was attempting to get the hubs to like cauliflower. I might not have been successful at that mission, but I on the other hand loved it and so did Miss K. Guess he’ll just have to find something else to eat! It was super easy to make and the KitchenAid Food Processor had it pureed up for me in seconds flat. Plus this thing is so quiet!

I also tested the slicing on the food processor last night while making Scalloped Potatoes with Ham & Cheese. Wow. I had sliced potatoes in no time at all and they were so pretty and evenly sliced. I loved the fact that you could set your thickness on the slices.

I can’t wait to see what else I can come up with to make with this little gem! I’m thinking zucchini season just got a whole lot more enjoyable since I will be able to shred it in no time flat.

So if you’ve been having some food processor envy I highly recommend you go out and get one for yourself. This is the one time I will discourage you listening to your mother if she told you that you didn’t need one!

Make sure you don’t miss any of the fun stuff Julie’s Eats & Treats is up too!
