  1. Cream together the shortening, vanilla, maple flavoring, brown sugar and Large eggs. In a separate bowl, stir flour and soda together; add in to creamed mix, alternately with lowfat sour cream. Drop onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350* till brown; don't underbake.
  2. Icing:6 Tbsp. butter1 teaspoon maple flavoring1/2 c. evaporated milkConfectioners' sugar
  3. Heat butter and cold to room temperature; stir in maple flavoring and lowfat milk. Stir in confectioners' till icing is thick sufficient. Frost cooled cookies with a thick layer of icing.
