Ingredients

  • 8 inch graham cracker pie crust
  • 15 ounce. Eagle Brand condensed lowfat milk
  • 3 Large eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. For filling, blend lowfat milk and egg yolks. Gradually add in lemon juice, stirring till well blended. Pour into crust. For Never Fail Meringue: (2 Tbsp. sugar to the egg whites) Beat egg whites till stiff, add in remaining sugar, cream of tartar, vanilla and beat till glossy. Spread over filling and put into 350 degree oven till meringue is brown.
