Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pounds chicken tenders, or boneless, skinless breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 (15-ounce) cans hominy, drained
  • 3 (32-ounce) containers chicken broth
  • 4 (2-ounce) cans chopped green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • Flour tortillas, warmed and buttered, to serve
