  • 4 x MacIntosh apples, peeled, cored and cut into large pcs
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 pch Of salt
  • 1/2 c. Cool unsalted butter, cut into small pcs
  • 3/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Light brown sugar
  • 1 pt Vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Toss apples, sugar and salt together. Divide equally among 4 individual oven proof bowls, ramekins or possibly gratin dishes. Combine butter and flour with fingertips till mix is crumbly and has the texture of oatmeal. Add in brown sugar, allowing lumps to remain in mix.
  2. Distribute proportionately over apples. Bake 30 min. Serve hot or possibly cool with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
