Ingredients

  • 1 pkt Elbow macaroni(7oz)
  • 1 c. Digonally sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. Pimiento-stuffed olives
  • 1 can Tuna,liquid removed(9 1/2oz)
  • 2 Tbsp. Grated onion
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd pepper
  • 3 c. Shredded American cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd pepper
  • 1 c. Dairy lowfat sour cream
  • 1 c. Dry white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain and rinse. Stir celery and olives into macaroni. Heat oven to 375'. Place half of the macaroni mix in ungreased baking dish, 13 1/2x8 3/4x1 3/4 inches. Mix tuna, onion, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and the cheese. Sprinkle macaroni mix with half of the una mix; repeat.
  2. Heat 2 Tbsp. butter in 2-qt saucepan over low heat; stir in flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till mix is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in lowfat sour cream and wine. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Pour over tuna mix; dot with 1 Tbsp. butter. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 min. Uncover; bake till golden brown, about 15 min.
