Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2/3 c (10 2/3 Tbsp) butter, firm but slightly softened
- 1 1/2 c. cold buttermilk
- 1 c heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp, melted butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400. spray 9x9 pan.
- Come dry ingredients. cut in butter by hand until it resembles coarse oatmeal. Do NOT over work the dough. Pour in cream & milk. Gently mil all the liquids just till blended. Scoop dough into prepared pan. spread to even by gently patting. Do not press down. Mark (score) top. Brush w/ melted butter. Bake @ 400 25-30 min.
