"Lost Bread" (French Toast)

Ingredients

  • 4 Large eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. half & half
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 lg. loaf French bread, sliced into 10 thick pcs

Directions

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients well. Soak each slice of bread in mix and place in pans or possibly large casserole dishes. Pour remaining mix over bread and allow to soak in refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve, saute/fry in butter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if you like.
