Ingredients

  • 2 floury potatoes, sliced into 1cm (1/2 inch batons)
  • 1/2 cup white rice
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into 1cm (1/2 inch sticks)
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1lb shell, skirt or sirloin steak, cut into 1inch pieces
  • 4-6 Peruvian aji peppers, sliced finely
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree or strained tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • oil for frying
  • Recipe:
  • Marinade steak in red wine, white pepper, cumin and onion powder for up to 1 hour
