Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 5 lg. Large eggs, separated
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Sift flour, cocoa, baking pwdr, salt and set aside. Beat egg yolks, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. water and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into yolk mix.
- In another bowl beat whites till soft peaks form. Add in sugar and beat till stiff, but not dry. Fold whites into yolk mix. Pour into ungreased 9" tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min. Yield: 16 slices at 96 calories each.
