Ingredients
- 1 pound beef liver
- 2 pound boneless stew beef
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 med. onion
- 1 1/2 tbsp. sage
- Black pepper
- Salt
Directions
- Boil liver and beef separately till tender. Salt. Grind liver. Mix with liver broth. Pour over flour, onion, sage, pepper and salt. Make a stiff batter. Remove beef from broth. Set aside. Drop batter from tsp. into boiling beef broth a layer at a time. Stir lightly. Cook till done. Add in small pcs of beef back in pot with nips.
