Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3/4 c. butter -- hard
  • 4 lrg Large eggs
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 c. pecans -- finely minced
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp lemon extract
  • 2 Tbsp. butter at room temperature

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees .In a medium bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar and cut in butter till crumbly.
  2. Press into bottom of a tightly greased 13 x 9" baking pan.
  3. Bake for 15 min.
  4. While the crust is baking, in a large bowl beat the Large eggs at high speed till frothy. Ad sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and coconut.
  5. Spread proportionately over baked crust.
  6. Bake for 20-25 min.
  7. Mix the ingredients for the icing till smooth and spread over the bars while they are still slightly hot. Cold. then cut into bars.
