.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20second%20night%20was%20lobster.%20We%20bought%20them%20steamed%20and%20we%20also%20bought%20some%20steamers%20and%20had%20those%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20night%20was%20a%20rack%20of%20lamb.%20It%20wasn't%20frenched%20or%20a%20crown.%20It%20came%20straight%20off%20a%20farm%20and%20I%20had%20asked%20for%20the%20rack%20rack%20rather%20than%20chops.%20This%20is%20part%20of%20the%20lamb%20that%20lives%20in%20my%20freezer.%20We%20simply%20roasted%20it%20with%20garlic,%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeantime,%20I%20made%20a%20potato%20dish%20out%20of%20the%20Gourmet%20magazine%20(retrospective%20issue)%20that%20I%20always%20talk%20about.%20This%20recipe%20was%20from%20the%2050's%20and%20we%20were%20dubious,%20but%20it%20turned%20out%20well%20and%20tasted%20great.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEarlier%20in%20the%20day%20we%20had%20visited%20Wilson%20Farms%20and%20tasted%20a%20butternut%20squash%20dish%20that%20they%20were%20giving%20samples%20of.%20We%20got%20a%20copy%20of%20the%20recipe%20and%20we%20made%20it%20for%20dinner.%20This%20dish%20was%20unbelievable%20and%20you%20really%20have%20to%20give%20it%20a%20try.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteam,%20boil%20or%20roast%20squash%20until%20tender.%20Mash%20with%20sugar,%20cinnamon,%20%C2%BD%20stick%20butter%20and%20salt%20&%20pepper%20to%20taste.%20Preheat%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees.%20Melt%20%C2%BD%20stick%20of%20butter%20at%20medium%20high%20heat%20in%20a%20large%20saut%C3%A9%20pan.%20Add%20onions%20and%20cook%20until%20golden%20brown,%20about%2015-18%20minutes.%20Season%20with%20salt%20&%20pepper.%20Mix%20onions%20with%20squash%20.%20In%20another%20bowl,%20mix%20breadcrumbs,%20chestnuts,%20sage,%20melted%20butter,%20and%20a%20pinch%20of%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Put%20squash%20mixture%20in%20baking%20dish.%20Sprinkle%20breadcrumb%20mixture%20on%20top.%20Bake%20until%20hot%20and%20golden%20brown,%20about%2015-20%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20the%20while%20I%20was%20drinking%20my%20beloved%20California%20%22Eric%20Ross%22%20wine.%20My%20sister-in-law%20is%20the%20one%20that%20thought%20clearly%20enough%20to%20take%20all%20these%20pictures.%20I%20may%20have%20drank%20a%20bit%20of%20glog%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk,%20so%20it%20is%20NOT%20Xmas,%20but%20it%20is%20SNOWING%20here.%20I%20swear.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20although%20it%20looks%20like%20a%20meal%20the%20Flintstones%20would%20eat%20it%20was%20great.%20Best%20lamb%20I%20have%20ever%20have%20had.%20Did%20I%20mention%20that%20it%20is%20Leyden%20Glen%20lamb?%20THE%20best!!!!%20(thanks%20Kristen!)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
