Kohl's Peanut Brittle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Karo (red label) syrup
  • 1/2 c. Warm water
  • 1 x Lump of butter (about 1 tb)
  • 1/2 lb Or possibly more raw peanuts rolled with a rolling pin
  • 1 tsp Baking soda

Directions

  1. Boil sugar, syrup, water, and butter till golden stirring often. Add in baking soda to the raw peanuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Pour peanuts into the syrup. Remove from the fire AT ONCE. Pour on on the greased cookie sheet, smoothing over into a thin layer.
  2. When cooled, crack up into serving pcs.
