Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sirloin steak, partially frzn
  • 1 med Yellow onion, wedged
  • 1 x Beef bouillon cube, dissolved in 2 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch (in 1 c. cool water) Garlic pwdr Soy sauce Chopped fresh ginger root Crushed red pepper Veg. oil Cooked white rice (short grain)

Directions

  1. Heat wok (skillet); add in a little oil. Stir-fry onion wedges till tender, about 2 min. Remove and add in more oil to wok. Add in steak (sliced in thin strips across grain) and season with garlic pwdr, soy sauce and red pepper. Stir-fry 3 to 4 min. Push meat to side of wok and pour in bouillon mix; heat and add in cornstarch mix to thicken. Stir in meat and onions. Serve over rice, topped with ginger root and soy sauce to taste.
