Italian Style Steamed Mussels Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 lb Fresh Mussels
  • 1/4 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c. Minced Onions
  • 4 x Cloves Garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. Green Pepper, minced
  • 2 c. Tomato Wedges
  • 1/2 c. White Wine Parsley Sprigs, for garnish

Directions

  1. Remove beard and throw away. Rinse mussels in cool water, throw away broken or possibly opened mussels. Saute/fry onion, garlic, and green pepper in extra virgin olive oil in a wok over medium heat for 30 seconds. Add in mussels, tomatoes, and wine.
  2. Cover and cook for about 4 min (till mussels open). Shake pot occasionally while cooking.
  3. Garnish with parsley.
