- 3 Tbsp plain flour / self-raising flour
- ¼ tsp paprika powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- freshly grated black pepper
- 1 clove shallot, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp dried rosemary
- ¼ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ cup red wine ( I used Shiraz.)
- 1½ cup chicken stock or beef stock
- 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 onion, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
- 3 sprigs parsley, roughly chopped leaves, for garnish
