Inspire Your Child’s Creativity with Frugal Flour Sidewalk Paint

Making sidewalk paint for kids is the easiest thing ever and keeps them busy exploring their own creativity so you can get some down time! My two year old could probably make it herself.

This isn’t your typical sidewalk chalk paint recipe that I’ve shared before, but today’s paint is an even more affordable and baby-friendly solution made three common household ingredients.

The texture of this paint is similar to my favorite edible bath paint– thick a little goopy. My kids love it. It’s more slimy than store-bought finger paints and even I really enjoyed dipping in my fingers for this sensory paint activity for kids.

All you have to do is mix together the two base ingredients, pour into a muffin tin, and add food coloring. So, simple, easy, and frugal!

Make Flour Sidewalk Paint!

Combine 2 parts flour and 1 part water. Pour into a muffin tin or small cups. Add food coloring (I used these bright gel colors) to each muffin well and stir. Dip in a paintbrush or a sponge and get creative!
