- Sift together: 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoon baking powderCream together 1 cup sugar and 1 cup shortening. Add in 2 large eggs. Alternate the dry ingredients with 1 cup lowfat milk and 1 tsp vanilla. Spread half the dough in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Put half the filling on the dough. Add in remainder of batter, sprinkle the balance of filling on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 30 min.
