Hung Shao Sauce

A barbecue sauce, popular in parts of China and Korea.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup rice wine (or lager)
  • ¼ cup honey (or ⅓ cup sugar)
  • 1 tbs. onion, powdered (or ½ cup diced leeks)
  • 1 tbs. garlic, powdered (or ¼ cup diced garlic)
  • 1 tbs. sesame oil (or ¼ cup sesame seeds)
  • 1 tsp. ginger, powdered
  • 1 tsp. black pepper, ground

Directions

  1. Mix all, then heat with 950 watts for three minutes.
