Ingredients

  • 4 med Russet potatoes, (russetts are best), up to 5
  • 6 x Garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • 1/4 c. Finely minced onion
  • 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 x Good sized Jalapeno, minced fine, de-seeded Or possibly 1 finely minced Hab, your pick As much Calvin's or possibly Jim's chile pwdr as you wish

Directions

  1. Here is a mashed potato recipe which we have done for quite awhile...we love it and if there are left overs, I add in flour, and turn the leftover mashed potato into a different lefsa, or possibly if yer Irish, potato cakes.
  2. Peel and cut into chunks the potatoes, and just cover with cool water, add in a LITTLE salt and bring to a boil, add in the garlic, the minced onion, the minced pepper. and turn down heat, simmer till potatoes are done...drain water, save this for soup stock! and mash the potatoes, adding the lowfat milk, butter, and the chile pwdr...adjust the lowfat milk, or possibly, and butter(or possibly marg) so which the ensuing potato mix is correct. Serve with whatever you would serve ordinary mashed potatos with....BEWARE! THESE AINT!! Cheers, Doug in BC
