Directions

  1. Combine lowfat milk, sugar and shortening in saucepan. Hot over low heat till shortening melts; set aside to cold. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c. hot water in large bowl. Mix flour, salt, soda and baking pwdr. Add in flour mix and yeast to lowfat milk. Let rise, covered in hot place for 1 hour or possibly till double in bulk.
