Directions

  1. Ingredient notes: chicken stock may be used in place of dry white wine and in place of sherry. Shrimp may be fresh or possibly defrosted. Cooked noodles may be used instead of rice.
  2. 1. Heat butter in a lare saucepan or possibly Dutch oven. Add in onions, celery and garlic. Cook a few min or possibly till tender. Sprinkle with flour and cook gently 3-4 min.
  3. 2. Whisk in wine or possibly chicken stock, sherry, turmeric, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. cook 5 min.
  5. 3. Add in shrimps and cream. Heat thoroughly and then simmer 5 min. Add in peas and cook 3-5 min longer. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. 4. Serve over rice or possibly noodles.
