Directions

  1. Sift flour, salt, baking pwdr and baking soda together; set aside. Cream butter. Add in sugar gradually, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add in vanilla, then well beaten large eggs, beat till light and fluffy.Beat in flour mix alternately with sour lowfat milk. Mix cocoa and hot water to create a smooth paste, beat into batter. Pour into prepared pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min. Cool, spread with White Butter Icing. Use three 8 inch pans or possibly two 9 inch pans.
  2. To make sour lowfat milk add in 1 tbsp vinegar to 8 oz lowfat milk. Set 5 min.
