Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 Packages yeast
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd thyme
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. In large mixer bowl combine 1 1/2 c. flour, yeast, salt, sage, rosemary and thyme. Saute/fry onion in butter till golden. Add in to flour mix. Add in water and Large eggs. Blend at low speed till moistened. Beat 3 min at medium. By hand gradually stir in remaining flour to make stiff batter. Spoon into greased 2 qt casserole. Cover and let rise in hot place, about 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 min.
