Directions

  1. Note:This recipe does not require pectin.
  2. Grind unpeeled oranges and lemons in a food processor or possibly grinder; transfer to a large kettle. Add in baking soda; simmer for 10 min.
  3. Peel remaining fruit; grind then crush it. Add in to orange mix; measure and return to kettle.
  4. Add in sugar equal to the amount of fruit. Boil till thick, about 30 min. Pour it into warm jars, leaving 1/4-inch head space. Adjust caps.
  5. Process for 20 min in a boiling warm water bath.
  6. This recipe yields about 7 pints.
  7. Yield: 7 pints
