  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 (28 ounce.) can tomatoes in puree
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce.) condensed French onion soup
  • 1 (9 ounce.) frzn green beans
  • 1 (9 ounce.) fresh cheese tortellini
  • 1 teaspoon dry basil leaves
  • 1 med. zucchini, minced

Directions

  1. About 40 min before serving; in 5 qt saucepan, quickly brown grnd beef, stirring often till juices are evaporated. Drain excess fat. Add in tomatoes in puree, undiluted onion soup, green beans, tortellini, basil and 3 1/2 c. water. Heat to boiling. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat to medium, cover for 10 min. Add in zucchini, cook uncovered 10 min or possibly till zucchini and tortellini are tender. Makes 4-6 servings. About 355 calories per serving. Serve with bread or possibly rolls. Variation - serve over any pasta, but omit tortellini.
