- Bay leaves (tejpatta) -3 to 4
- Garlic cloves – 10 to 12 (chopped finely or crushed)
- Onion – 2 (medium sized – chopped finely)
- Green capsicums – 2 (medium sized – chopped finely)
- Green peas – 1/2 cup
- Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
- Basmati or plain rice – 1 1/2 cups
- Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
