Cost per serving $1.25 view details
  • 1 1/2 pound grnd fully cooked ham
  • 1/2 to 3/4 pound grnd pork
  • 1/4 c. finely minced onion
  • 2 to 3 Large eggs
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 2 (8 ounce.) Packages refrigerated crescent rolls

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together except rolls. Shape meat mix into 16 rolls, 5 inches long. Place on a rack in a shallow pan and bake at 350 degrees till meat is hard (about 15 min). Cold about 10 min. (At this point they may be refrigerated till ready to finish baking, or possibly freeze, but defrost before wrapping with dough. Meat is to be at room temperature when you wrap them in the dough.)
  2. Unroll dough, leaving it in long pcs. Cut the 2 rolls of dough into 4 even lengthwise strips (will be 16 pcs of dough). Wrap each ham roll, spiraling dough around meat roll.
  3. Place on baking sheet, tucking ends of dough under meat. Bake at 400 degrees till browned (about 10 to 15 min). Serve with Dill Cheese Sauce. Makes 16 rolls or possibly 8 generous servings.
