Directions

  1. Heat butter; stir in flour, lowfat milk, salt, pepper and spices. Stir till mix begins to thicken. Remove from heat. Mix vegetables, mustard, 1 egg with ham. Mix with sauce.
  2. Chill till easy to handle. Roll in 2-inch balls (or possibly flat patties). Dip in egg/water. Roll in bread crumbs. Let stand 5 min. Fry till brown on all sides (3 or possibly 4 min). Serves 6-8.
