Ingredients

  • 6 c. black currant nectar
  • 8 x fresh sage leaves
  • 2 x cinnamon sticks
  • 1 c. cassis
  • 2 c. sparkling apple cider
  • 2/3 c. vodka
  • 1 c. club soda

Directions

  1. To make black ice, pour 2 c. black currant nectar into an ice cube tray. Transfer to freezer; freeze till solid, at least 3 hrs.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine black currant nectar, sage leaves, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a simmer over medium heat; simmer 15 min. Remove from heat, and allow to cold. Remove sage leaves and cinnamon sticks.
  3. In a large punch bowl, combine nectar, cassis, cider, vodka, and club soda. Serve over black ice.
  4. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
