Guacamole

This recipe is refreshing and delicious, yet simple and intreging.

Goes Well With: salsa, tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, nachos

Wine and Drink Pairings: margarita, hard lemonade, hard limeade, ice water, ice water with lime

Ingredients

  • 4 avacados
  • 2 Limes, juiced and zested
  • 1 roma tomato
  • 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
  • A Pinch of Kosher Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Directions

  1. Remove the pit and flesh of the avacado. Discard the pit and put the flesh in the bowl. To do this, hold a towel in the palm of your hand and insert the knife along the stem. Roll the avacado around in your hand, and twist the two sides apart. Take a spoon and remove the flesh.
  2. Juice and zest the limes into the bowl.
  3. Mash the mixture of avacados and lime until it is mostly smooth but still has some chunks in it.
  4. Finely dice the red onion, wash and seed tomato, and add to bowl.
  5. Add a pinch of Kosher Salt and a few Grinds of black pepper(to taste)
